Police have charged a suspect with firing into the fourth-floor window of Broward Health Coral Springs (Fla.) hospital from his car, CBS Miami reported July 7.
Three Encino Hospital Medical Center clinicians were stabbed by a patient asking for medical treatment for anxiety.
The initial call at 3:50 p.m. reported an assault with a deadly weapon in the ER, which is where the victims were stabbed, police said.
The gunman is also dead, police said. Authorities believe the shooter’s gunshot wound was self-inflicted, Tulsa Police Department Deputy Chief Eric Dalgleish said in the news conference. Several people were also wounded, though no one has life-threatening injuries, police Capt. Richard Meulenberg told CNN on Wednesday night.
A security guard at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton was killed after an inmate grabbed the guard’s gun and shot him. Dayton police say the prisoner was being treated in the emergency room around 9:45 a.m. when he was able to get the gun.
