USHA Annual Conference 2026
Registration & Details
Why Attend
Lone working, out-of-hours activity and a dispersed network of first aiders and wardens all make duty of care harder to deliver on university campuses. Come and meet the CriticalArc team to swap practical ideas with fellow H&S professionals. You can explore how to turn your lone working and emergency response policies into processes that work and see how other universities are closing the gaps.
Workshop
The Incident: The First 15 Minutes When a Lone Worker Doesn’t Check In – and Who Responds Next
This is a 30-minute interactive session, repeated twice on the day. We’ll follow one realistic incident from a missed check-in through to first aiders, fire wardens and Security. As it unfolds, you’ll map your own institution’s response, including who’s alerted, who acts and where the gaps are. You’ll leave with a worksheet to take back to your institution. No SafeZone knowledge needed.
